The Battle of Las Cumbres was a major battle of the Puebla Campaign.

Battle

The French forces attacked the Anahuac Plateau near Aculzingo, a fortified Mexican position. It contained 3,200 soldiers and an artillery battery. The French gained reinforcements and had 14 battalions by the end of the engagement, and stormed the Mexican positions. The French suffered light casualties, while the Mexicans claimed 500.
